This secluded Blackrock period home was extended to suit a family with young children with a very contemporary open plan, light filled extension, all of which addressed a beautiful landscaped south facing garden. Studio Brazil worked closely with Brazil Associates Architects to retain the elegance of the period rooms and integrate them seamlessly with the contemporary extension. The central roof light glazed link between the existing and the new was clad with a textured brick wall of muted tones which was complimented by natural oak flooring and treated oak bespoke furniture, secret doors and panelling throughout. Carefully chosen lighting, colours and mirrors enhance the natural elegance of the rooms.
